Agreement to Terms
By submitting your device for repair, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms may be updated at any time without prior notice.
Diagnostics and Estimates
All diagnostics are either free or charged at a flat rate (if applicable). We will provide a repair estimate before any work is performed. You must approve the estimate before we begin repairs.
Repair Authorization
By leaving your device with us, you authorize our technicians to perform the necessary diagnostics and repairs. Unauthorized repairs or tampering by third parties may void any warranty.
Device Testing and Power-On Risks
Some diagnostics or repairs may require applying power to a device in a compromised state. By authorizing service, you acknowledge that such testing is sometimes necessary and that Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is not liable for damage that occurs during standard diagnostic or testing procedures if pre-existing faults or board-level issues are present.
Warranty on Repairs
We offer a 90-day warranty on parts and labor provided by our service. Warranty coverage applies only to the specific repair performed and the parts replaced. It does not cover unrelated failures or damage occurring after the repair. This warranty does not cover:
Physical damage
Water damage
Software issues or virus infections
Problems caused by misuse or third-party repairs
Limited Liability for Parts Supplied by Customers
If a customer provides their own replacement parts, Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is not responsible for the performance, compatibility, or longevity of those parts. The standard parts and labor warranty does not apply to customer-supplied components.
Data and Privacy
We recommend that you back up your data before bringing your device for repair. While we take all precautions, we are not responsible for data loss. We will not access or share your personal data unless necessary for the repair.
Non-Repairable Devices and Disposal
If a device is deemed non-repairable or beyond economical repair, Tyler’s PC Repair LLC will notify the customer and provide available options, which may include but are not limited to:
Returning the device disassembled;
Reassembling it (if feasible) for pickup; or
Environmentally responsible disposal or recycling with the customer’s written or verbal consent. Diagnostic fees (if applicable) still apply regardless of whether the device is repaired. If the customer does not respond to disposal or pickup requests within 90 days, the device will be handled in accordance with Section 13 (Unclaimed Devices).
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of repairs. We accept cash and digital payments. Accounts left unpaid for more than 90 days after repair completion may be subject to collections activity, or transfer of ownership in accordance with Section 13 (Unclaimed Devices).
Digital Payment Processing Fee
For payments made using digital methods—including but not limited to credit or debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, or other electronic payment platforms—a 3% processing fee will be added to the total amount after applicable taxes. This fee covers third-party transaction costs charged by the payment processor. Tyler’s PC Repair LLC does not profit from this fee; it is collected in full by the processing company. Customers who wish to avoid this fee may pay with cash or another non-digital method accepted by Tyler’s PC Repair LLC.
Return Policy
Due to the nature of repair services, all services are non-refundable once completed and accepted by the customer.
Service Turnaround and Parts Availability
Repair turnaround times are estimates only and depend on parts availability, workload, and the complexity of the issue. Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is not responsible for delays caused by parts suppliers, shipping carriers, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Unclaimed Devices
Devices not picked up within 90 days after notification of repair completion will be considered abandoned. We will make at least one reasonable attempt to contact the customer using the information provided before deeming a device abandoned. If we are unable to contact you or do not receive a response within that 90-day period, ownership of the device will transfer to Tyler’s PC Repair LLC. Once ownership is transferred, Tyler’s PC Repair LLC may dispose of, recycle, refurbish, resell, or otherwise use the device at its sole discretion. Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is not responsible for any loss of data or personal property once a device is deemed abandoned.
Communication and Storage Policy
We make every reasonable effort to contact customers regarding the status or completion of their repairs. Notifications may be sent via phone, text, email, or other contact methods provided at the time of service. Devices unclaimed after 90 days will be handled in accordance with Section 13 (Unclaimed Devices). It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that contact information provided to Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is accurate and up to date.
Liability Limitations
Tyler's PC Repair LLC is not liable for:
Any loss of data, programs, or personal information
Any further damage to the device during diagnostics or repair, especially in cases of pre-existing damage
Any indirect or consequential damages
Manufacturer Warranties
Our repair service may void manufacturer warranties. It is your responsibility to verify any potential impacts on such warranties.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, and any disputes shall be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction within Cedar County, Iowa.
No Waiver
Failure by Tyler’s PC Repair LLC to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of any rights under them.
Severability
If any portion of these Terms and Conditions is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Acceptance of Terms
By signing the service order, leaving your device with us, or paying for services rendered, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Shipping Responsibility
The sender is responsible for all postage, shipping, and packaging costs to and from Tyler’s PC Repair LLC.
Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is not responsible for any loss, delay, or damage that occurs during transit in either direction.
Packaging Requirements
The sender must package the device securely and appropriately to prevent damage in transit.
We recommend using adequate cushioning, a sturdy box, and insurance or tracking.
Any damage resulting from improper packaging is the customer’s responsibility.
Inspection Upon Arrival
All parcels are inspected upon delivery for visible damage or signs of tampering.
If any unreported damage or tampering is discovered, the customer will be notified before any further unpacking, diagnostics, or repairs are performed.
The repair process will remain on hold until the customer provides approval to proceed.
Return Shipping
Return shipments are made using the method selected by the customer at the time of service.
Tyler’s PC Repair LLC is not responsible for shipping carrier delays, lost parcels, or insufficient insurance coverage once the device leaves our facility.
Customers who wish to add insurance or signature confirmation to their return shipment must request it before shipping.
Ownership and Abandoned Shipments
If a repaired or unrepaired device is not claimed or arrangements for return shipping are not made within 90 days after completion notification, the device will be handled in accordance with Section 13 (Unclaimed Devices) of our standard Terms and Conditions.
Applicability of Standard Terms
All standard Terms and Conditions apply in addition to these Mail-In Repair Terms and Conditions.
By mailing your device to Tyler’s PC Repair LLC, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to both the standard Terms and Conditions and these Mail-In Repair Terms.
Updates
Mail-In Repair Terms and Conditions may be updated or modified at any time without prior notice. The current version posted on our website applies to all orders.
